week 4 – patio and outdoor – spring 2025 ORC – crazy tile reveal

Reveal

Its here and I am so excited to reveal the crazy tile.

You saw all the inspo image last week.

I asked my tile guy if he can make it happen with the remaining tile since it was a lot.

We actually cut the tile a lot in a bizarre direction and so most of the tile was wasted.

Changes vs inspiration

Because we had so many white tiles left due to the triangular nature of it, we had a lot of tile left. I endlessly googled crazy tile. . Honestly, it is a great way to use extra tile AND FITS MY SUSTAINABILITY NEEDS.

As I have mentioned before , the white tile is slippery when wet. I also got 2 small planting boxes done with concrete tiles and a step as seen in this inspo image. I havent painted it yet but plan to.

I also found some china and plates and got my tile guys to add them in between. Not to nitpick but he didn’t do it evenly, i had added a few more pieces which he removed, lol. The way to do the crazy tile is break the tile, spread as you want, find the spot after you apply the adhesive, press tile and then add the adhesive in between. Then grout it. I went with using the base of the triangles at the corners and also did a silly square with 4 tiles at the centre. this is completely unnecessary.
