week 3 – patio and outdoor – spring 2025 ORC – marble tile reveal

You know what time of the year it is. It is One room challenge time. I signed up to do my backyard redesign for this. This is week 3. Come say hi. All the inspo and moodboard are below. Reveal

A lot of inspiration images I saw it done inside but I was like, hmm..how about outside.

The white tile is not available as a paver at all.

I started looking at tile but most of it was beyond my budget.

The pergola and extension was added ages ago. Then we did gravel and the outside plan was much slower. Nothing was done in 8 weeks. Plus plants take time.

I got all the gray tile from home depot and for the white ones, it was the seconds store.

I also got the fountain on facebook marketplace a long time ago. I will talk more about it when we get to outdoor furniture week.

Why things changed and what i did

As I said before, having gravel is great, but its a lot of maintenance. I was reading somewhere that a lot of digging and mutliple layers of gravel is required to keep it pristine.

This is a permanent solution.

Lets talk about pricing. I got 20 greige tile who costed like $19 each which amounts to $400. The Gray tile were 28 in number and costed about $500 since I got some at $17. The white tiles were smaller at 12×24 and were 56 odd in number and cost was per box and there is some minor damage on them. Costed around $200 overall bring the total to $1100.
