A series of Quotes – Criminal Minds edition
Criminal Minds follows a team of FBI profilers who find criminals based on behavioral patterns. I wonder if many countries have this kind of team. They tune in to the psyche of the killer, usually a serial killer who leaves behind clues or patterns. The best part of the series are the quotes at the beginning and/or end of the show as voice-overs. The quotes are usually based on the episode and always raises a question about human outlook and our response to the situations that are thrown us. Here are my picks:
In relation to fanaticism “Reason is not automatic. Those who deny it cannot be conquered by it. Do not count on them. Leave them alone.” Ayn Rand
The irrationality of a thing is not an argument of its existence, rather, a condition of it. ~ Friedrich Nietzsche Season 1
I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary. The evil it does is permanent. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
For we pay a price for everything we get or take in this world; and although ambitions are well worth having, they are not to be cheaply won. ~ Lucy Maud Montgomery
Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it. ~ Terry Pratchett season 4
