So, everyone approaches book reviews differently. I do not like doing a rating system since any reviews are so subjective to one’s taste. what I can do is do a 100% recommend or you will survive if you don’t read it.
First, I think about my criteria to review books.
what’s your important to me?
plot and pacing – A well developed plot can make even paint drying interesting.
Language – beautiful writing always has more points in my book.
Humor/Research for book – Usually books with humor tend to not be heavy research based. And heavily researched books tend to be non fiction or historical. Either works for me.
Character development comes next. If other things are done well, I care less about character development or growth. Otherwise, it is a must.
Above works for romances as well.
